Graphic Cards
The endless amount of graphic cards available on the market can
lead to conflicts with different computer configurations. Please
make sure the latest version of your graphic card driver is installed
on your computer. If you experience problems starting Marine Corps,
please try starting the Marine Corps safe mode (see below).
Marine Corps
- Safe Mode
This Start Menu entry allows you to start Marine Corps using the
minimum configuration. That means, if auto-authentication fails
or you can't start Marine Corps with your previously saved settings,
this function will allow you to restart Marine Corps. After starting
safe mode, please readjust the desired settings and click on ok,
otherwise the old, possibly corrupted settings will be reloaded.
Marine Corps
Graphics Options
The options in the graphics menu are now displayed in realtime,
i.e. if you adjust the settings for shadow details, for example,
you will now see the results directly and immediately on the screen.
This may be helpful while determining the optimal settings for your
computer.
NVidia
The driver versions 54.xx cause an error in the display of the graphics
in the game, which NVidia has removed in later versions. Therefore,
run drivers 53 or 55 and later.
ATI
For Radeon cards 7500, series 8 and 9, the driver should be older
or equivalent to 4.1.
GeForce 4MX
The GeForce 4MX is one of the weaker cards in the 4th series. Therefore,
you can only play Marine Corps with the minimum configuration using
this card. Experiment with the graphic options for a while. In case
you have starting problems, check the paragraph "Marine Corps
- Safe Mode" above.
GeForce FX
5200
This card is also one of the weakest cards in the FX series and
it sometimes tends to be even slower than the GeForce4 cards. Marine
Corps tries to adjust the respective settings for this card. You
can also experiment with these options.
