DirectX

If your computer meets these requirement, most errors are caused by outdated drivers.

1) Left click your "Start" button
2) Left click on "Run"
3) Type in "dxdiag"
4) Left click on "OK

This will bring up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. On the "System" tab you will see your version of DirectX towards the bottom. DirectX 9.0C is the latest unbeta released version. If you do not have 9.0c please go to this link to download the latest version

Download DirectX

If you left click on the "Display" tab it will show you your video card. On the top left it will show you your hardware manufacturer. On the top right you will see the driver information. The third line down shows the date of the driver. If it is not a recent date (usually within 3 months) please visit your hardware manufacturers website to download the latest drivers.

 

Running on Windows Vista

This title was not developed for the Windows Vista Operating System. Some people may experience problems running this title on a computer with the Windows Vista Operating System. If you are experiencing problems running the game on Vista and you meet all the hardware and software requirements please try to run this game in XP Service Pack 2 compatibility mode. To do this please go through the following steps.

1) Right click the Whirlwind over Vietnam Icon.
2) Left click on "properties"
3) Left click the tab labeled "Compatibility"
4) Put a check mark in the empty box labeled
4) "Run this program in compatibility mode for"

Choose XP Service Pack 2 from the drop down window

6) Left Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the tab
